Being involved in the Art Docent Program at Highland is a truly rewarding experience. Volunteers provide art enrichment within the classroom, a creative outlet for students, and teach children to appreciate the artist within themselves!
Our goal is to have at least one volunteer for each class that can teach one lesson a month. If you do not wish to lead a lesson, we encourage you to be an assistant in the class. No experience is necessary! Materials and some training are provided. This is a great way to encourage appreciation for art and imagination!
